All who attended last year’s Halloween dance with the Palace Band were thrilled by the theatrical staging, spectacular costumes, and superb musicianship. Everything about the event graranteed a memorable night.

The popular, local 6-piece jazz and swing ensemble is justifiably renowned for the upbeat 1920s–1940s style they’ve honed as the official, all-live house band for the annual A Night at the Palace vaudeville and burlesque show at the Hall.

As well, the ensemble frequently plays high-energy local shows throughout the mid Island, headlining community dances and waterfront concert series. Their performances feature soaring vocals, trumpet, and driving rhythm sections playing both vintage jazz standards and contemporary hits arranged with an old-time, speakeasy feel. Band members Ashlee Sales on lead vocals, Tom Bradbrooke on piano, Luke Sales on trumpet, Kevin Robinson on bass, James Mcrae on drums and Galen Mongeau on guitar guarantee a “hot time in the old town” wherever they play.

Back this year by popular demand, who knows for sure what The Palace Band members have up their magical sleeves? Come in costume and find out while adding to the success of this family friendly event.
